As this title suggests, there is no shortage of waves on the island—of all kinds and for all levels of surfers. Experienced surfers should note the prime surfing season is during the months of September and October, with the amihan or on shore winds and eastern swells bringing in perfect barrels. We do have occasional typhoons that bring epic swells at any time. Luckily, beginners and intermediate surfers will find waves all year long. At BRAVO, we work with the best local instructors, simply inquire at reception to organize your lesson.
Before you head out, download the Surfline application on your mobile phone to check the forecast and make your way to some of our favourite local spots.
Beginners: you can learn how to surf in Siargao all year long.
Experienced: mid-September, October and November — eastern swells and Amihan offshore winds usually bring perfect barrelling waves.

Here at Bravo Beach Resort Siargao we only have a limited number of surfboards. Worry not, though — if you don’t find a board of your choice you can try your luck at one of the various rental services nearby. Our front desk officers will recommend you only the best.
Ask at reception to book a surf lesson, or see our surf packages.
